The Funniest Twitter Reactions to Game of Thrones Season 8

Since it first aired in 2011, Game of Thrones has established itself as one of the most popular TV shows of all time. With its epic storylines and stunning visuals, it was an absolute pleasure to watch. Based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, the show eventually caught up to the last completed book and continued the story for HBO viewers.

This is when things seemed to slip a little. If you’ve read the books, you can see that it is a universe in and of itself, with many characters, scenarios and internal monologues that would be equally confusing and impossible to capture on the screen. For the sake of the show, some shortcuts were made and storylines combined and edited to make things flow more logically when presented as a once per week segment.

However, given the fact that the final seasons were shortened, the plot seems to be far too quick and less coherent than we became used to in the earlier seasons. Although once the show bypassed the book, the quality seemed to drop a little. The difference in season 7 and season 8 have been dramatically noticeable and disappointing for fans.

As a hardcore book fan myself, my own emotional meter has been firmly set to “EXTREME ANNOYANCE” for both this season and the last.

Game of Thrones fans can be a loud and passionate breed of their own. The following is a list of the funniest reactions to Season 8 from disappointed Game of Thrones fans.
