Missing Woman Found Living in the Forest Just Wanted to be Left Alone

Look, there’s a few fantasies that women indulge in. Calorie-less baked goods, sexy men who won’t talk back, ya know, shit like that. However, the ultimate fantasy for women would have to be the one where we say “fuck this shit” then run off to live in the forest, far away from all the drama.

Well, for one woman in Utah, this fantasy became a reality as she went missing in 2020 and was recently found in a tent in the woods, living out our collective womanly dream.

After months of searching, authorities located the 47 year-old missing woman camping alone out in the wild in Utah’s Spanish Fork Canyon. According to Outsider, authorities sent a drone to try and find the woman who had been missing for about 5 months. Although the drone crashed, they found her campsite when they went to retrieve the craft.

Turns out the woman had been camping out in the woods alone by choice since November, living off moss, grass, and river water. She reportedly told the authorities that she “wanted solitude and isolation”.

Although the woman was alive and well, she appeared to have lost quite a lot of weight and was taken to the hospital to get a wellness and mental health check.

Humans are so weird. We came from nature, created a whole mess of garbage to stress about, then we turn around and think someone must be crazy for going back. This *gestures at everything* is crazy.

I’d take washing down moss with a river water mocktail over all this shit in a fucking heartbeat. Especially if motivated by the promise of a lil quiet time. YAS PLEASE.

It’s unknown what she will do next, and honestly that’s probably just how she’d like it. She didn’t break any laws, so if she chooses to go back, she’d be in the clear.
