I hope you’re cool with ghost stories, because this one is a doozy!

A couple in Highland, Michigan is claiming they believe their home to be haunted after catching mysterious footage of what they believe to be a malevolent ghost on nanny cam.

Commence sleeping with the lights on, fam!

Joshua Higgins, 30, and Heather Brough, 25, checked their nanny cam footage after finding deep “purple scratches” on their 1-year-old daughter Lily’s face. In the video, their daughter stands up in her crib as what appears to be a shadowy figure walks around.

Oh, Hell no.

Whether or not you believe in ghosts, the footage is certainly creepy and captures the imagination.

When the scratches were found on the child’s cheek, the couple decided to review the camera footage, and Brough described the experience as “bizarre and frightening.” The couple initially wondered if their daughter had accidentally scratched herself, but determined that the scratches did not appear to be the right size or placement to be self-inflicted.

The couple lives in a guest house that is owned by Higgins’ mother. She claims that the main house on the property that she inhabits has been determined to be haunted by a paranormal investigator. Both she and her husband relayed stories of previous inhabitants having died on the premises.

Higgins and Brough are hoping to move to a new residence, as this was not the first paranormal incident they experienced in the home. Brough describes having heard footsteps, an “angry male voice,” and other unusual sounds. She also claims to have woken up one day feeling like there were hands on her neck.

Fearing that the events are getting more intrusive, Brough describes their desire to find a new home: “This has made us want to leave as soon as possible…This is a spirit. I don’t know what its intentions are, but at this point it’s becoming physically harmful.”

Best of luck to their family in getting the fuck out of there. Although, in the meantime, if they have a ghost that is somehow capable of reaching over and influencing the physical realm, maybe they would be wise to keep it busy with some simple household tasks.

I’m personally a “say FUCK NO to ghosts” kinda gal, but if I were somehow able to give one some of the household responsibilities, then I might change my outlook.
