Trump’s Personal Lawyer’s New Lawyer Hires Lawyer

By Joanna McClanahan of Ramblin’ Mama

Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney, hired an attorney earlier this week to represent him in the ongoing investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Then, just today, Cohen’s new attorney, Stephen Ryan, decided it might also be a good idea to lawyer-up. Stephen Ryan (aka Trump’s lawyer’s lawyer) told us he decided to hire his own lawyer after reviewing the evidence against his client earlier this week.

“I’m not saying I’m concerned,” said Ryan, as he began sweating in an air-conditioned room. “It just never hurts to be too careful with these things. Is it hot in here? It feels hot in here,” Ryan continued, loosening his tie.

Cohen and Ryan are just the latest Trump advisers to hire attorneys in connection with the widening probe into Russian election meddling and allegations of collusion between Trump campaign associates and Russia.

Trump’s lawyer’s lawyer’s new lawyer, Ben White, hasn’t ruled out the idea of hiring his own legal counsel now that he’s taken on the case.

“This is all very routine, I assure you,” said White. “Although, in this case it does feel a bit like the lawyer version of Russian nesting dolls. Haha! I mean, nothing like that, not like Russian anything. Not related to Russia in any way…Please don’t publish that part about the dolls.”

Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, declined to say whether he is fielding additional investigative inquiries, directing all questions on the matter to his attorney.

Cohen’s attorney, Stephen Ryan, said he is unable to comment on a pending investigation, directing all questions to his attorney.

Ryan’s attorney, Ben White, added that he will not comment until he has secured legal representation of his own.
