As you might have known, Snapchat filters represent the height of beauty standards in this country. As expected, young women have been flocking in droves to their plastic surgeons on retainer to surgically enhance their bodies and faces to more closely resemble their Snapchat filters.

“If you’d asked me twenty years ago how I thought my practice might progress, I could never have predicted this,” Dr. Snapalot, a prominent NYC plastic surgeon was quoted. He refused further comment as he got behind the wheel of his Aston Martin and tapped his Rolex, indicating he was late for his tee time.

One mom tries to put a positive spin on her teen daughter’s new face. “She does look more like her filters, and if this is what she wants, I can’t do anything about it.”

When asked why she funded the surgery, she replied, “I didn’t. Her boyfriend did. His father is a plastic surgeon.”

While this might be a disconcerting new trend with the wide-eyed stares of Anime-looking young women becoming more and more prevalent, parents are making the best of a bad situation.

“She may not look like my little girl anymore, but we did change her name to Snowball,” the mom says.
