Zombie lovers, rejoice! Buzzfeed’s got your favorite holiday classic, now with more zombie killing.

With holidays come traditions: decorating your home, baking cookies, getting shit-faced on spiked eggnog, and watching movies with loved ones (sometimes while shit-faced on spiked eggnog).

For many of us, A Christmas Story is a holiday movie staple. Because let’s be real. Who among us can resist “the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window” — or, in our case, gleaming from the TV screen?

No matter when we grew up, there’s something about that film almost all of us can relate to. Whether it’s the foul-mouthed dad, the mom at her wit’s end, the disappointment of getting a bad grade on something we were sure we rocked, the asshole schoolyard bully, the holiday meal gone to shit, or the forbidden childhood treasure, there’s something for everybody.

But what’s perhaps even better than Ralphie’s ultimate acquisition of the coveted Red Ryder BB Gun (despite numerous warnings from adults that he’d “shoot [his] eye out”) is the ingenuity of the person who took Ralphie’s victory to the next level and turned it into a zombie fight to the death.

BuzzFeed posted an edited version of this Christmas classic wherein Ralphie, armed with his prized Red Ryder BB Gun, takes on the undead in an epic battle for the ages.

And trust: Ralphie does NOT shoot his own eye out.

Too bad the same can’t be said for his zombie foes. (I bet the folks on The Walking Dead are DYING to get Ralphie to join their commune.)

Now, if only someone would turn this into a full-length feature. I’d certainly toast a glass of spiked eggnog (or seven) to that.
