Zap Zap Kindergarten Math App Is My New Favorite Thing

This post is sponsored by Zap Zap Kindergarten Math

Earlier today I was in desperate need of a shower. My hair was in a greasy perma-tail, and I smelled like burned cinnamon rolls and dirty laundry. Unfortunately, as the mother of a three-year-old and a 5-year-old, I can’t just go hopping in the shower like some sort of celebrity. That’s how houses burn down. So, in hopes of buying myself five minutes of alone time, I downloaded a new app for the kids: Zap Zap Kindergarten Math.

My daughter will be starting kindergarten this fall, and let’s just say I’m already having nightmares about Common Core math problems, because I DON’T UNDERSTAND! That’s the beauty of Zap Zap Kindergarten Math. It’s “aligned to Common Core standards and covers a comprehensive range of math practice delivered in a structured, module-oriented manner.”

Perfect for children aged 3-6, Zap Zap Kindergarten Math is a collection of fast-paced math games that introduces them to the essential foundations of mathematics, namely addition and subtraction, place values, measurement and data, and so much more!

Wait, so you’re telling me this app will teach my kids Common Core math? Um, yes, please, I’ll have two. I’m on board with anything that keeps me from sobbing into my chardonnay while trying to help my kid with her homework.

Even better, my daughter loves this app! She played it, while her brother watched intently, for my entire shower. I had time to condition my hair and shave my legs! And not just up to the knee, like I normally do. I shaved my whole leg like some kind of classy person.

When I got out of the shower, the house was quiet. I didn’t smell smoke, so I assumed they’d probably killed each other over a pack of fruit snacks. But nope, they were still sitting together playing Zap Zap. I’m telling you, this app is like some sort of digital unicorn. The fun animations held their attention, kept them entertained, and they were learning.

Zap Zap Kindergarten Math has become her new favorite app, and she’s asked to play it every day since. I’m basically feeling like mother of the year over here, just waiting for my trophy to arrive. If you want to get in on this learning-induced alone time, you can download it for your little people on apple or android devices.
