Wife Wants Sperm Donor, Not Husband, to Guarantee “Incredibly Attractive Kids”

Most couples planning to grow a family want nothing more than healthy, happy children. But one man says his wife wants something else.

According to Reddit user SmoothPalpitation1, whose viral post has since been deleted, his wife requested a sperm donor to guarantee their kids will be attractive.

“When talking about children (we want to start soon), she suggested a sperm donor because then the child will (supposedly) have a better chance at a good life,” he wrote. “I was incredibly confused and asked her to explain. To which she explained that if the baby had genes of an incredibly attractive and smart man (tried not to be insulted at that) then he/she would live an easier life and be happier.”

He went on to say that his wife is incredibly smart but not “jaw-dropping” beautiful. “She is imperfectly perfect to me, but only a solid 6/7.”

That’s right, he “rated his wife” on a scale from one to ten, but that’s okay…because a follow-up post (one of three), which claimed she had an affair, gave him a free pass for being shallow.

“I asked if she knew a donor and she kept mentioning her colleague/our friend which I didn’t think much of at first,” he wrote.

“Turns out, she’s been cheating on me with him (a married man who has been to our house multiple times for dinner, whose fucking hands I shaked),” he said, adding that once he gets his shit together—because he’s too busy “bawling his eyes out like a goddamn baby” to do anything about it right now—he will probably call his partner at the firm and begin divorce proceedings.

“I am going to destroy her in court.”

Then came his third and final message, where he cleared up any speculation that his wife might already have been impregnated by her lusty sperm-giving co-worker.

“Wife is NOT pregnant,” he insisted, boasting that he had phoned her colleague’s wife and told her about the extramarital betrayal. “I have offered her free representation from my firm should she need it.”

Though the world may never know if SmoothPalpitation1 was being authentic or if his post was just another way to get an online community riled up, one thing is for certain: if you’re looking for a supportive partner, one who makes you laugh and treats you with the kindness and respect you deserve, do yourself a favor and find one who isn’t afraid to gamble with genetics and knows the difference between therapy and Reddit.
