Successful Female Comedian Gets Tips From Mansplainer Who’s Never Written Comedy

By Crystal Lowery of Creepy Ginger Kid

DALLAS, TX- Successful humor writer, Jane McDonald, is in possession of a wealth of joke-writing tips after some help from a vague, mansplaining acquaintance. The man, who had never seen anything she had previously written and had no comedy experience of his own, took it upon himself to coach McDonald.

“I could totally write comedy…if I had the time. It must be nice staying home with the kids,” he began. “People always say I’m funny because I quote Anchorman a lot. Also, I once watched a Jo Koy special on Netflix, so I know how this works.”

With that, he offered the following suggestions for McDonald:

1. Do something like Dane Cook.

2. Make sure to start with something really funny. And close with something really funny. And try to stay away from mom stuff.

3. Ballsacks.

4. I bet you could buy a joke-writing book.

5. Have you ever heard of McSweeney’s? They’re good.

McDonald had, in fact, heard of McSweeney’s, as she had multiple satire essays published on the site. She is a regular contributor to many popular websites where her various memes, articles, and videos often go viral. She is also gaining momentum in standup comedy, booking paid gigs, and becoming a staple at local comedy clubs.

The mansplainer, whose credits include attending a Bill Burr special in 2016 and doing a terrible Bill Cosby impression, went on to suggest McDonald “talk about dog farts.”

What does McDonald plan to do with the advice?

“I’m going to make like Stevie Wonder and turn a blind eye.”

“I’m going to make like the Target cashier and politely check out.”

“I’m going to make like Kim Jong Un and execute…my jokes just like I had planned before I got the mansplainer’s tips.”

Sources say that one day McDonald will write a screenplay, win an Oscar, and have her own stadium tour wherein marginally funny, male amateurs will still explain to her how to write jokes.
