RECALL: Gerber Baby Food

Gerber has announced a voluntary recall on two of its Organic 2nd Foods pouches.

Gerber has announced a voluntary recall of some of its Organic 2nd Foods pouches for possible spoilage during transport.

Specifically, the recall includes the Pears, Carrots, and Peas as well as the Carrots, Apples and Mangoes pouches with best by dates of July 12, 13, and/or 14 of 2016. Gerber states, “As a result of a packaging defect, some of the packaging used in two batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches…may be susceptible to spoilage during transport.”

Some signs of spoilage include:

  • bloated package
  • off taste or odor

Gerber urges parents who have these pouches not to use them and to contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at (800) 706-0556 for “replacement coupons anytime day or night.”

For more information about the voluntary recall as well as detailed contact information, visit the Gerber website here.
