It’s no exaggeration to say this year’s presidential election has been riddled with sex scandals. From the revelation of audio recording featuring Donald Trump’s comments about grabbing women’s crotches to the resurgence of sexual assault allegations against Bill Clinton and Hillary’s alleged involvement in silencing the accusers, this year’s presidential race resembles something more along the lines of soft core porn than politics.

But it’s not just the presidential candidates who are feeling the heat.

With her father’s sexual exploits garnering prime media coverage, Ivanka Trump is starting to endure the hot coals of judgment. Women nationwide are beginning to boycott stores that carry her clothing line with the intent of hitting her where it hurts: the wallet. Though Ivanka is not her father, she does continue to actively campaign for him.

How much of his drama should affect her is questionable. She is, after all, his daughter. It seems only right that she would advocate for him in this election. Still, one has to wonder: Is there some sort of woman code that states you shouldn’t defend — or worse, actively support — blatant misogyny? And if so, does this code transcend family ties?

It’s easy for me to answer these questions, but then again, I’m not in Ivanka’s shoes, nor is my father running for president and being publicly accused of sexually assaulting women.

There’s no doubt she is in a tough position. But now that her business is in potential jeopardy, many are likely wondering if she’ll flip the script on her father and change her tune. I’m putting my money on a big, fat NOPE.

Should Ivanka bear the brunt of her father’s indiscretions? Add your input below.
