I am a book lover. One might even say books are my side piece. Which is why, when my friend Beth Teliho announced that her book is up for pre-order, I NEARLY JUMPED OUT OF MY SKIN. Because the only thing better than holding an actual book in hand is knowing I can secure its transit to my hand before it’s even been released.

If you are also a book lover, you will adore Beth’s work. She is an amazing writer with great talent, and the story sounds fascinating. Here’s a sneak peek:

This pretty much sums up all the things that intrigue me about the mind (I was a psychology minor in college for 3.9 seconds before learning I would have to do math and switching over to history. Yes, math scares me that much.) and, as a self-identified empath, I am excited to learn what the main character’s encounter with one is like, not to mention how this leads Devi to discover her mysteriously critical gift.

Even better? I am always looking for contemporary literature to incorporate in my senior English classroom, and this sounds like it would be a perfect fit for literature circles. (I can’t help but always think with my teacher brain when it comes to stuff like this. It’s a blessing and a curse.)
