Millions of Children Devastated Because They Have “The Worst Parents Ever”

Millions of children live with "the worst parents ever." But the good news is that there is hope.

By Lola Lolita / Crystal Lowery

Every day across the world, millions of children are suffering. Experts estimate that:

  • 1 in 20 children are given the red cup when they specifically requested the blue cup
  • nearly 1/3 of all children are forced to go to bed at a certain time so they won’t be tired and cranky the next day
  • greater than 90% of children are not allowed to choke on their food or drown in the bathtub even though that’s what they really, really want to do

The cause of this devastation? They have “the worst parents ever.”

Though this issue directly results in hardship for the youngest members of society, it is a problem that affects us all, and it is one in need of greater awareness.

The National Council of People Against Parents Imposing Rules (NCPAPIR) is asking community members to be consistent in identifying and reporting parental offenders in their neighborhoods. Signs to watch out for include:

  • children having temper tantrums in grocery stores
  • seemingly exasperated parents mumble-shouting things like, “How many times do I have to tell you?” and “Honey, we’ve already discussed that Skittles are not part of the food pyramid.”
  • youngsters being forced to wipe their faces and blow their noses against their will

Should you witness these perpetrators in the act or come across young victims in your community, please contact the NCPAPIR immediately at 1-800-BAD-PARENTS.

Vigilance is key.
