‘Feminist Cross-Stitch’ Book from Amazon Defaced with MAGA Sentiments

A woman in Wisconsin got a gross surprise when she ordered Feminist Cross-Stitch: 40 Bold & Fierce Patterns by Stephanie Rohr off Amazon.

The book, which is a best-seller on Amazon for the cross-stitch category, came with “Trump 2020 MAGA” scribbled on the inside. The woman who ordered it, a 31-year-old mom of three, was upset when she opened the book to see what was written inside. According to Forbes, she reached out to the book’s author on Instagram.

Rohr’s Instagram post states that she was “beside herself” when she got the message from the anonymous woman. She further discussed how she’s currently looking into the matter with Amazon and her publisher and states that “[e]ven if this is an isolated incident, it is so symbolic of the dark moment in history that we find ourselves in.”

The book was ordered from Amazon Prime and was defaced in black ink. There is currently an investigation looking into who vandalized the book through Amazon’s fulfillment center.

The book is meant to stand for values that are not associated with Trump — things like feminism and female empowerment. The fact that it was defaced with this crap is clearly the vandal’s attempt at making a statement.

The woman who ordered the book told Forbes that she will likely still shop from Amazon, since this seems more like an example of a single person gone rogue. However, the investigation within the company is still ongoing.
