It’s one thing to fat shame women. (If by “one thing,” I mean a total dick move.) But fat shaming pregnant women? Well, that just borders on criminal behavior.

One Canadian meteorologist has found herself the target of fat shamers — and not once, but twice. 

During both her pregnancies, Kristi Gordon, meteorologist for Global BC in Vancouver, has received hate mail from viewers. The subject of their disdain? Her pregnant body.

Not only has she been called “indecent” and “unprofessional,” but she has also been accused of being the reason viewers will no longer watch the network news.

Really? One look at the woman, and any halfway sane individual could discern that she looks healthy and happy, two things I’d say are the opposite of “gross,” something one anonymous letter signed “The Group” characterizes her as. Gross? A pregnant woman? And what’s with “The Group”? What group? Some exclusive club of pathetic losers with nothing better to do than criticize a woman undergoing one of the most miraculous of life’s experiences? Sounds like an awesome membership. SIGN ME UP.

Aside from feeling an overwhelming desire to track down these jerk-offs and kick them right in their genitals, I am absolutely disgusted by people. Think about it. They’ve taken time out of their day to sit down, pen a cruel correspondence about something that has nothing to do with this woman’s ability to perform her professional duties, and then MAIL IT TO HER.

Assholes. This is why some people really fucking suck.

All I’ve got to say is, keep on keepin’ on, Kristi. If it’s any consolation, just imagine how shitty the lives of anyone who would even think about doing this are. At least you’re not them.
