12 Stressed Out Memes for Parents Because We’re NOT OK

April 2, 2020 By Mandi Em

Talk about overwhelming. The pandemic certainly has its stages of whatinthesweetmotheroffuck, and I think many of us have gotten to a state of completely abandoning hope that anything is going back to the way it was anytime soon. This is somewhat depressing, however, seeing as there’s not a whole hell of a lot anyone can do about it, we might as well make the best of it.

It’s not just the social distancing and lack of normalcy on a daily basis that has us thrown. Parents also have the added stress of having their kids home in most places, having to somehow try to entertain, and even school them for the indefinite future. With some parents also working from home, this can feel monumental and almost impossible given the lack of skill/knowledge when it comes to teaching, as well as the pressure of feeling like you can’t drop the ball.

Check in on your parent friends, because they are NOT ok. From being stuck inside with their hopped-up crotchfruit, to trying to do it all with a smile, parents are really being thrown into another universe of crazy as the pandemic has us in our homes and trying on new roles that we never even wanted.

So if you see us in our pajamas through the window eating a full box of dry cake mix screaming the ABC’s at our kids, mind ya business!

12 Stressed Out Memes for Parents Because We’re NOT OK

1. Ok, I’m a teacher now, alright, alright, alright…

2. I know literally nothing about how to teach kids, but I’m sure this is gonna be fine…

3. I mean, shit, maybe we can just throw the ol’ construction paper around for awhile…

4. Let’s just wing it, what’s the worst that could happen…

5. At least we have all this fun time we can spend together as a family…

6. Which is a great distraction from confronting the reasons why I cry in the shower twice a day…

7. Gosh, children are a blessing, ESPECIALLY in pandemic times…

8. Did I mention what a thrill it is to put the teacher hat on on top of all the other hats that are weighing me down? Ha, hahaha haaa…

9. Mama’s gonna be just fine… just… fine…

10. Christ, being home this much sure does make me a lil’ peckish…

11. If one child is a blessing, two is almost too good to handle…

12. What even is life now? I LITERALLY can’t even…

So hang in there folks.

All we can do is just Live, Laugh, and Look forward to the day when this shit is OVER.
