The McDonald’s corporate account tweeted this morning that Trump is a “disgusting excuse of a President,” that we’d love to have Obama back, and also that Trump has “tiny hands.”
The tweet was briefly pinned to the page, where it got over 1,500 likes in the half hour before it was deleted. McDonald’s later tweeted that the account was “compromised.”
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

Although it’s also been speculated that a set of microwaves might be responsible for the hacking.
Meanwhile, some conservatives, such as Fox News host and reformed bow-tie-enthusiast Tucker Carlson, called on their followers to #BoycottMcDonalds:
This is the latest in a string of conservative boycotts, including #BoycottStarbucks, #BoycottHamilton, #BoycottMerylStreep, #BoycottNordstroms, #BoycottHawaii. (All of which seem to be doing okay in spite of said boycotting.) For people who refer to liberals as “special snowflakes,” they sure seem a bit sensitive to criticism.
The Trump-slamming tweet happened about a year after Trump’s social media post where he was celebrating with McDonald’s after clinching the Republican nomination (please note the hand to fry-container ratio):
Personally, I will be celebrating today with some mysteriously-preserved fries and a Shamrock Shake that tastes like diabetes. Mmmm, delicious.
