**********

I have been blogging for a little over three years now, and in that time I have learned a great deal about what it means to be a blogger. Contrary to what we may think when we first take up this hobby, blogging does not merely consist of writing a piece and clicking publish (at least not if we ever hope to garner an audience for our writing.)

Over the past few years, I’ve learned about and collected priceless tips for becoming a better blogger. Though I’ve stored this knowledge in my writing vault and used it to inform blogging instruction in my classroom, it wasn’t until the past year or so that I decided to take blogging seriously for myself, implementing this information in my own blogging practice. Once I did, I saw tremendous improvement in the overall quality of my work and in the number of audience members reading my pieces.

In the past five months I have grown my blog and social following ten times what it was. Currently, I have over 10,000 fans and subscribers with an average daily Facebook reach of 100,000 people and growing. I have also been published on sites such as Scary Mommy, Babble, Mamalode, BlogHer, Today Parents, and Yahoo! News and Shine as well as featured on HLN’s The Daily Share and ABC 15’s The Now, most of which happened within just the last eight months.  I have been published in two anthologies and in my own self-published book. I have monetized my website, enough so that I can cover web hosting costs and even compensate contributing writers a very small but fixed amount for syndicating their work on my site. I have made connections with other bloggers who inspire and cheer me on daily.

All I had to do was seriously put to use the tips and tricks I had gathered over the years.

Recently, I have been approached by newer bloggers as well as long-time bloggers interested in upping their blogging game with questions about what to do in order to achieve this. So I have decided to start a blogging workshop that covers the basics of blogging and social engagement. Below are the packages I am offering to those interested in quickly learning and implementing what took me years to collect and employ. And while I can’t guarantee the same results for everyone, I can guarantee you’ll walk away from the experience with something useful.
